Sustainability Victoria is running a free workshop Imagining Our Future on Friday 19 May as part of Melbourne Design Week 2023 - Australia's largest annual design event.

Designed to help participants learn about future thinking in a creative and interactive environment, the workshop-style event will be led by Sustainability Victoria’s foresight team, the SV Lab.

“Foresight holds the promise of enabling exploration of multiple potential futures, so individuals, organisations and governments can make better strategic decisions today to help bring us closer to our desired future tomorrow,” said Florian van den Corput, Senior Advisor Circular Economy, Sustainability Victoria.

“Topics such as inequality, conflict, waste, and climate change require solutions that extend beyond the short-term.

“Sustainability Victoria recognises the important role creativity and design play in the transition to a circular economy, one where waste is obsolete.”

Participants will have the opportunity to learn and practise future thinking, create their own artifact inspired by the creative process and discuss potential future scenarios with peers.

Imagining Our Future will take place on Friday 19 May from 2 pm – 6 pm at Hanover House, 158 City Road, Southbank.

This event is made possible by BETA by STH BNK.
