Projects funded under the Local Government Energy Saver program (LGES) to help regional Victorian councils with a grant offering for energy audits and upgrades.

Stream 3: Facility upgrades

Ararat Rural City Council

Upgrades to the energy efficiency at 3 council facilities.

Funding: $99,291

Bass Coast Shire Council

Installation of a 21.75 kW solar PV system at the Inverloch Hub and a 28.125 kW solar PV system at the Wonthaggi Depot, as well as Utility Management Software upgrade. Monitoring and performance upgrades at 8 sites.

Condition assessment to determine monitoring requirements of the following sites:

  1. Wonthaggi Civic Centre Building 4
  2. Cowes Depot “M” Parks and Gardens shed
  3. Inverloch Transfer Station
  4. Inverloch Community Hub

Installation of a 100 kW rooftop solar PV on the Wonthaggi Civic Centre.

Benalla Rural City Council

Installation of Solar PV at Benalla Library, upgrade the HVAC fan and install specialist LEDs in the Gallery.

Upgrades to council buildings with Solar PV, LEDs and motion sensors, as well as building fabric upgrades.

Buloke Shire Council

Upgrades to the energy efficiency at council facilities.

Central Goldfields Shire Council

Improvements to the energy efficiency at 5 council facilities by upgrading inefficient lighting and air conditioners, and installing a Solar PV system.
