How it works
One of our goals is to provide the long-term capability and knowledge that Victoria needs to develop its circular economy. We want to partner across industry and the community as a transition broker for this systematic change required.
We have recognised that there are knowledge gaps across all levels of government and industry to deliver the changes required, and that there is also gap in the training and learning marketplace to build this expertise. Sustainability Victoria will offer its own professional development courses to bridge this gap and to accelerate the learning required. This will be provided by our own materials, energy and circular economy experts and in conjunction with industry and government partners.
Our professional courses will enable participants to:
- dive into learning through a mix of videos, real-world case studies, hands-on exercises, and facilitated discussions with like-minded industry peers
- gain insights into emerging trends and best practices in from industry leading experts
- unlock practical toolkits and resources that can be immediately implemented into their workplace
- build credibility through optional certification upon passing assessments.
Course content will be developed and overseen by us, with specific technical and regulatory content provided by the relevant partner organisations.
Our professional training courses are fee-based which will make this initiative self-funding and sustainable for us to support in the long term.
Sustainability Victoria’s professional training series piloted in April 2024 with the “Certificate in Social License to Operate.”
