SV’s role

We act as an investment facilitator for industry partners looking to invest in Victoria’s circular economy. We identify and recruit partners, connect them to government or private sector investment funds, support the development of business cases and help navigate crucial project milestones. This facilitation can increase the likelihood of success and accelerate project delivery.

How it works

Victoria needs major investment in our circular economy to meet demand, stimulate innovation, and accelerate end markets for recovered materials. These large-scale projects are often groundbreaking, complex and require multi-million dollar investment. We help potential partners navigate the investment journey, providing advice, information, and the support that they need to invest in Victoria’s circular economy with confidence.

We provide a single point of contact and concierge service across Victorian Government to facilitate investment, beginning with our own Victorian government grants that support local industry. We play the lead role for Invest Assist in large sustainability projects, which includes assistance with site selection, planning authorities, and utility companies. We understand which councils have the appetite and investment support for large scale circular economy projects.

We also connect partners with investment specialists across the broader Government sector including the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR), and Invest Victoria. This opens additional local opportunities, plus access to the Victorian Government Trade and Investment’s (VGTI) network of 22 overseas offices for international operators.

We facilitate a match making service between a project partner and our network of potential investors. This is a highly tailored service based on our intimate knowledge and understanding of the circular economy and growth opportunities.
