We are one of the 'Best Places to Work'!
Sustainability Victoria has been ranked fourth on the 2022 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work list in the Government, Education and Not-For-Profit sector.
Interim SV CEO, Matt Genever said he’s proud SV has been recognised as one of the best places to work, particularly after the challenges we’ve faced during COVID.
“Our leadership team has worked incredibly hard over the past couple of years to create a work environment that connects and engages our staff, all while working remotely,” Mr Genever said.
The ranking is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading behavioural science consultancy, Inventium, and included a staff survey and a written submission that outlined the organisation’s policies, practices and programs that exist to support employees.
“We’ve ensured the wellbeing of SVers is at the heart of everything we do, focusing on themes of connection, nutrition and sleep, movement and our mindset. We have a really connected and engaged workforce and this is indicative of some of the initiatives we’ve introduced – Summer Hours, Wellbeing Month, Find Your Flex, staff gift pack and wellbeing days.”
“As well as new initiatives and policies, we moved to new offices that are energy efficient, so we are walking the talk.
“Our new office space was built with wellbeing and flexibility in mind – it’s an exciting place to work! We have lots of greenery, amazing end of trip facilities, a wellness room, plenty of comfy break out spaces and formal meeting rooms, private nooks for quiet work, lots of storage, a table tennis table, large communal tables and the flexibility to choose where you sit.
“It also helps that we are working towards our clear vision of a circular, climate resilient clean economy,” Mr Genever said.
It is the first time that Sustainability Victoria has been listed on the AFR BOSS Best Places to Work list.

The list is judged and compiled by Inventium, a behavioural science consultancy, using research-based methodology.
