Victorian Circular Economy Recycling Modernisation Fund Round 6

Total funding available: The total funding for this grant ground is $6,000,000.
Co-contribution: $1:$2 (SV:Applicant) for profit buisnesses. $1:$1 (SV:Applicant) for local government, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations. 
Sustainability Victoria is supporting eligible organisations through Round 6 of the Victorian Circular Economy Recycling Modernisation Fund.

Circular Economy Infrastructure Fund - Hazardous Waste Round 4

Total funding available: Grants of up to $20,000 ex GST for infrastructure projects
Co-contribution: No co-contribution is required for this fund.
Available to: Charities, Local government, Alpine resort management boards
Sustainability Victoria is supporting local councils and charities to install new, or upgrade existing, battery drop off points and to promote those locations through Circular Economy Infrastructure Fund.
Market Accelerator fund
Status: Applications closed
Closing date: Wednesday 5 November 2025, 11:59 pm
Total funding available: Grants of $15,000 - $50,000 (ex GST) are available per project
Available to: Businesses, Charities, Social enterprises, Sole traders
Sustainability Victoria is supporting businesses, social enterprises, charities and non-profits to bridge the critical gap between innovation and commercialisation and bring technically proven products and processes using recycled materials to market, through the Market Accelerator.
Victorian Circular Economy Recycling Modernisation Fund (Round 5)

Community Electrification Engagement Program Fund

Total funding available: $110,000 per Lead Community Organisation

The Community Electrification Engagement Program Fund supports community energy groups to deliver an engagement program to promote electrification to households within a targeted geographic area.
Large Energy User Electrification Support Program
Status: Applications closed
Closing date: Tuesday 20 August 2024, 11:59 pm
Total funding available: Grants of $14,000 to $60,000 (or $66,000 if regional) ex GST are available per Project.
Co-contribution: Applicants are not required to provide a financial Co-contribution. Applicants must provide in-kind support to the selected Approved Supplier.

The Program will provide funding for approved specialists to complete electrification feasibility assessments for eligible Victorian commercial and industrial business facilities considered large energy users.
Circular Economy Organics Council Fund
Status: Applications closed

Total funding available: Grants of $30,000 to $100,000 are available.
Co-contribution: $1:$1 (SV:Applicant) Co-contributions can be either financial (cash) or In-kind. Up to 100% of the contribution can be In-kind.

The Circular Economy Organics Councils Fund (the Fund) aims to support Local Governments and the Alpine Resorts Victoria Board to increase their use of recycled kerbside organic products in council and community settings, to build sustainable end markets and transition to a circular economy.
Recycling Modernisation Fund Plastics Technology Stream

Closing date: Monday 4 September 2023, 11:59 pm
Total funding available: Eligible applicants may apply for a minimum grant of $1 million and a maximum grant of $20 million.
Co-contribution: Applications for funding must include at least a 50% contribution ($1 Industry: $1 Australian Government).

Through this fund the Australian Government will invest $60 million nationally over 4 years to address critical gaps in Australia’s recycling infrastructure, and support advanced and innovative technologies targeting hard-to-recycle plastics.

Co-contribution: Industry must co-contribute at least $2 for every $1 funded. Local government must co-contribute at least $1 for every $1 funded.

This fund is to ensure Victoria is safely managing hazardous wastes and reducing harm to human health and the environment.
