Join our pilot program

Looking for resources to teach children about food waste? Be a Love Food Hate Waste pilot school.

The Love Food Hate Waste campaign has developed a suite of lesson plans for grades one to eight, mapped against the national and Victorian curricula.

We are currently seeking schools that are interested in piloting the lessons and providing feedback on them via surveys.

The lessons include topics such as:

  • What is food waste and why does it happen?
  • How much does food waste cost?
  • How to save food at home
  • How does food waste harm the environment?

Lessons are mapped against a range of syllabus outcomes across science, english, humanities, maths, technologies, geography and health and physical education.

The materials include lesson plans, worksheets and take-home sheets.

If your school is interested to be a pilot school please fill out the below form.
