2 cups nuts of your choice (for a nut-free option use sunflower seeds)

- Blend nuts, salt and any additional flavouring ingredients in a food processor until a smooth, thick and creamy texture forms. This may take a while (5–10 mins) but eventually the oils from the nuts will release transforming crumbled nuts into a butter consistency. Add a splash of water, coconut oil or nut milk if needed to assist in getting to this texture.
Tip: Roast the nuts first in the oven or in a pan on the stove for a richer flavour.
