CEBIC's operations concluded on 30 April 2026.
We designed and delivered the CEBIC program, including hosting the CEBIC website, networking events, delivering grants programs, research studies, and industry intelligence.
CEBIC specifically targeted the small to medium enterprise and not for profit sector to explore opportunities to design out waste and extend the useful life of products.
Victoria needs to do business differently, and avoiding waste is a critical change we need to make. CEBIC partnered with innovative Victorian businesses to test new approaches to sustainability, transform the way they use resources and develop new business models.
The CEBIC website and virtual hub encouraged businesses to innovate and collaborate on stopping and reducing waste initiatives, complimented by a series of networking events.
We focused on specific industry sectors each year, targeting with food and organics in 2021, the textiles industry in 2022, and circular product design in 2023.
We provided funding through grants programs to stimulate innovation into circular solutions for those industries in Victoria.
We fast-tracked more than 200 new circular products and services through CEBIC, future-proofing their operating models, and finding a competitive edge through smarter, circular, and more sustainable ways of doing business.
