CDS Vic
Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme is a recycling initiative offering a 10 cent refund for each eligible drink container returned at hundreds of refund points across Victoria.
Victorians have returned 2.3 billion containers since the scheme launched. Containers collected through CDS Vic are turned into new recycled products – like drink bottles, cans and more!
Over 600 schools are registered to fundraise with the scheme. Collectively, they have raised thousands of dollars, funding new sport equipment and uniforms, bird baths, nestboxes, plants, worm farms and even new playground equipment.
Participation supports sustainability education, develops student leadership and problem-solving skills while creating a greener future and raising funds for their school – it’s a win-win!
