The 2024 ResourceSmart Schools Awards would not be possible without the generous support of these sponsors.

Container Deposit Scheme Vic logo

CDS Vic

CDS Vic is a recycling program that provides Victorians with a 10 cent refund for every eligible drink container returned. Every container returned reduces waste and helps build Victoria’s circular economy.

Over a hundred Victorian schools are recycling and raising funds with Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic). The best part? The returned drink containers are transformed into all kinds of new things – new eligible containers, materials for construction, textiles and more.

Department of Education

The Education State is about achieving excellence, building a world-class education system and creating opportunities for every Victorian through education. The Victorian Government is prioritising education for our children, students and learners because they are fundamental to Victoria’s future social, economic and global success.

A great education system widens opportunities for all. It reduces the impact of disadvantage and empowers people with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to build healthy, happy and prosperous lives. Learn more on the department's website.
