Love Food Hate Waste online Business Program - Participation Terms & Conditions

Below are the updated Terms and Conditions for Program Participation as at 27 January 2021. Sustainability Victoria will continue to provide online access to this program until 30 June 2021.

1. Terms and Conditions

1.1 These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to any business (Participant) who joins the Love Food Hate Waste Business program (Program) delivered by Sustainability Victoria (SV) via the Love Food Hate Waste Business website. By joining the Program, Participants agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. About the Program

2.1 The objective of the Program is to help Victorian food service businesses identify and measure food waste in their business and implement changes to reduce their business’ food waste.

2.2 The Program is delivered as a self-directed, online program via email and materials supplied online to download. It is available from 2 April 2019 until 30 June 2021.

2.3 The Program is delivered by SV free of charge.

3. Who can participate?

3.1 Any food service business operating in Victoria may participate in the Program.

4. Communication with Participants:

4.1 Participants who join the Program will receive emails from SV to assist them in completing the Program.

4.2 All Participants will be requested to provide information to SV through surveys and other data collection methods. This information will be used to assess the effectiveness of the Program. No identifying information collected from Participants will be published without the express permission of the Participant. SV may publish and report aggregated and de-identified information.

4.3 After completing the Program, Participants can request a digital Completion Certificate which can only be made by submitting the survey emailed in week 4 of the Program. To be eligible, Participants must provide results from their first and second Food Waste Review in the survey. SV reserves the right to choose whether to supply a Completion Certificate to any Participant.

4.4 Completion Certificates will only be available for request until 30 June 2021.

5. General Rules for Participation

5.1 SV reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Program at any time and for any reason.

5.2 You agree to use the Program materials for the purposes of the Program.

5.3 Participants must not use the Love Food Hate Waste, Sustainability Victoria or Victorian Government logos without receiving prior and express written permission from Sustainability Victoria.

6. Privacy

6.1 Any personal information provided by Participants in connection with the Program, including Participant name, age, image or contact details will only be used by SV or our authorised third party providers in connection with the Program and only in accordance with SV’s Privacy statement.

7. Disclaimer

7.1 SV deliver this Program in good faith, exercising all due care and attention. Any actions taken, decisions or changes made by Participants as a result of the Program are the responsibility of the Participant. SV is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever or for any personal injury suffered or sustained, including as a result of negligence, in connection with the conduct of the Program.

7.2 The potential yearly savings included in the Program materials are general figures only based on the information available to SV at the date of design of this Program and are an estimate only that does not consider your specific circumstances.

7.3 No warranty or representation is made about the accuracy, completeness or suitability of the information provided in the Program materials for any particular purpose. SV and its authorised third party providers disclaim liability for any act or omission made in reliance on the information provided throughout the Program and any consequences of any such act or omission. You should seek appropriate advice when applying the information to your specific needs.

7.4 SV may amend these Terms at any time.
