Due to the significant interest in this event, we are now hosting another session with all the same great presenters on 8 December!

Join us for this speed dating session where you will have the opportunity to hear from 3 local government project managers who have used sustainable, recycled materials in recent infrastructure projects.

This online event is part of Sustainability Victoria’s Buy Recycled Service.

Anyone working in local government asset management, infrastructure, engineering, planning, urban design, major projects, sustainability and waste and recycling.

Presenters and projects

Yarra Ranges Shire

Presenter: Karen O'Gorman, Coordinator Special Engineering Projects.
Project: Installation of recycled glass as a coloured road surface treatment to replace traditional surface paint on cycleways to increase safety.

Latrobe City Council

Presenter: Eric Robertson, Acting Coordinator Capital Works.
Project: Installation of an asphalt concrete product using 15 percent recycled glass content as a substitute for fine particles within the asphalt mix.

Frankston City Council

Presenter: Jack Ellis, Project Manager
Project: Construction of a pedestrian footpath, kerb and channel, indented parking and drainage upgrades using concrete, drainage pipes and asphalt containing recycled materials including plastic and glass.
