7 Star Homes Program – Construction training

Sustainability Victoria has partnered with ATTMA ANZ, Housing Industry Association (HIA) and Master Builders Association Victoria (MBAV) to deliver free 6-7-star construction training sessions.

These sessions offer practical information and tips for best practice construction of 7-star homes.

Training outcomes

The 6-to-7-star construction training will provide practical information on how to build an energy-efficient home, including: 

  • an overview of different types of glazing and wraps
  • what causes condensation and how to avoid it
  • thermal bridges and how to avoid them in construction 
  • an overview of different types of insulation and practical tips on ensuring best practice installation 
  • best practice construction for air tightness and ventilation. 

Who should attend?

These sessions are appropriate for all Class 1 home builders, associated trades and insulation installers.

CPD points are available for attendance at this training.

Everyone is welcome. Membership with HIA or MBAV is not required to attend.
