Nurses pledge to keep temperatures down

Nurses at hospital

Helping patients with high temperatures is all in a day’s work for Victoria’s nurses and midwives. But when the patient is our environment, they know we need to act now before things reach fever pitch.

That’s why one of Australia’s biggest unions, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (Victorian Branch), has signed up as a TAKE2 Founding Partner. The ANMF (Vic Branch) is looking forward to working alongside the Victorian Government to tackle climate change.

With a medium sized, 300 bed hospital estimated as using the same amount of energy as 5,000 Victorian households, the ANMF believes there are many opportunities for Victoria’s health sector to make a meaningful contribution to keeping the temperature rise under two degrees.

So, if you’re a health professional, please commit to our environment’s health as well. Sign up and TAKE2 today.
