SV's vision is for a growing Victorian economy where the environment is protected and the cost impact of living and doing business is reduced because we use resources productively and reuse or recycle them to waste almost nothing. We believe that Victoria can be great at managing its resources.
There are practical ways Victoria can be more efficient with resources like electricity and gas, materials and how we manage products, including those we now throw away. We take a systematic and integrated approach to planning and support for local government and the waste industry. We facilitate investment in infrastructure and deliver programs that reduce waste and encourage technology development and markets for recovered resources.
SV has listened to the results of its recent strategic direction review and the VAGO audit of municipal solid waste management. We are committed to finding solutions across Victoria that are both practical and tangible and that minimise our impact on the environment. We deliver programs in integrated waste management and resource efficiency toward a liveable and prosperous Victoria.
