Clean Site Program

Clean Site - Building a Better Environment is a statewide education program targeted at those working in the residential construction industry.

The program aims to reduce site environmental impacts, keep waterways clean, improve resource use and reduce waste through the provision of builder's forums, site meetings, local government workshops and site audits.

The program is particularly active in the growth corridor areas of Latrobe, Bendigo, Moorabool, Geelong, Ballarat, Mornington Peninsula, Casey, Wyndham, Hume, Cardinia, Whittlesea and Melton where audits are conducted regularly.

Results of the audits, undertaken randomly at 600 building sites, provide valuable trend data on building practices helping to identify areas for future action.

The latest Clean Site Audit Report is now available. The report shows several areas of improvement in residential building site management across participating council areas. The recent rain however has also highlighted areas in need of improvement.
