A Word from our CEO

The key goal for our organisation is simple: to integrate Sustainability into all aspects of Victorian life so that living sustainably is not seen as an 'add-on', but instead forms part of what we all do every day.

In order to achieve this, our organisation must be relevant to sustainability by working effectively across the Victorian community and in partnership with others. Our aim is to be the catalyst in helping Victoria come together as a large community to reduce its footprint.  It is therefore important for us to be clear about this mission, our purpose and the actions that will make a difference in this regard, so that everything we do day-to-day is relevant to our strategic plan.

Sustainability Victoria's Board and I are committed to building the relationships necessary for our organisation to be Victoria's Sustainability coach, and of course to making this a great place to work, where staff are motivated to contribute to our goals.  Indeed, as a knowledge-based organisation, our staff truly are our greatest asset. It is vital that every member of our staff is developed, rewarded and feels readily able to openly voice their ideas, concerns and contributions. 

One of the key areas we constantly work on as an organisation is our culture - I see a constructive organisational culture as being fundamental to everything we do, and in making this a great place to work for all staff.  Should you join us you will become another important and valued member of our team.
