List of systems capable of complying with the regulations

This list provides the following solar hot water heater details:

  • manufacturer
  • model number for each system
  • the solar contribution
  • tank size
  • number of panels

1 or 2 bedroom dwellings

3 or more bedroom houses

All solar hot water systems on the list have been evaluated to Australian Standard 4234 and have a solar contribution of at least 60% in Zone 4 (Melbourne) climate.

The Building Industry Commission's Practice Note 2005-55 Residential sustainability measures states

"Where a solar water heater system is the chosen compliance option and a reticulated gas supply is available for connection to the building, the system must be a gas boosted solar water heater."
