Grants and funding
Conserve, Invest and Save
The Conserve, Invest and Save strategy aims to conserve our valuable resources, invest in the state's environmental future and save money for all Victorians.
The Victorian Government has announced around $35 million for a range of programs as part of Conserve, Invest and Save to deliver better environmental outcomes by helping businesses and households manage waste and resources more efficiently.
Effective and efficient waste and resource management is not only fundamental to creating a healthier, more liveable environment, it also has strong economic potential for Victoria.
Conserve, Invest and Save programs aim to maximise the value of resources and help create new and sustainable employment across the state. The programs support investment in new recycling and waste processing infrastructure, the development of new and expanded markets for recycled products and assisting Victorian households and businesses to make smarter use of resources.
Re-using and recycling resources not only reduces waste going to landfill but helps save money, support the growth of the recycling industry, and drive innovation through the creation of products and industries.
Funding provided under the Conserve, Invest and Save strategy

Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Hon Ryan Smith MP has named the successful applicants for a $3.87 million funding package as part of the Transition Support to Improve Rural Landfill Infrastructure program which will enhance the protection of Victoria's environment well into the future.

Two funding packages have been announced to help reduce the amount of food scraps and organic waste going into our landfills.
The grants aim to make it easier for people to dispose of litter correctly. These competitive, merit-based grants encourage partnerships from community, business and government to address the challenge of litter prevention, litter management and resource recovery in public places. Applications closed 2 pm, Monday 15 October 2012.
