Away from Home Waste Signage
Sustainability Victoria is committed to making it easier for Victorians to minimise their waste. The following Away from Home Waste Signage Guidelines provide information to deliver simple and effective waste signage for your event, venue, school, workplace or public area.
The guide should be used in conjunction with other relevant tools and resources such as the Waste Wise Office Toolkit, Waste Minimisation in Health Care project, Local Government Resources, Catering Toolkit and Public Place Recycling Guidelines. Victorian Litter Action Alliance resources for litter prevention can be accessed from the Victorian Litter Action Alliance website.

Health Care signage now available
As part of the Waste Minimisation in Health Care project, 19 healthcare waste signs have now been added to Sustainability Victoria's Away from Home Waste Signage to make it easier for healthcare staff and visitors to separate their waste. Where appropriate, the signage was developed to meet relevant Australian Standards. The signage was created in collaboration with the Australian New Zealand Clinical Waste Management Industry Group (ANZCWMIG).
