Energy efficiency

The Energy Efficiency for Victoria Action Plan and The National Framework for Energy Efficiency demonstrate commitment to a program of action on energy efficiency in the residential, commercial, industrial and government sectors.

Energy efficiency for Victoria

The Energy Efficiency for Victoria Action Plan sets out a comprehensive program of Government action to drive improvements in energy efficiency and greenhouse gas abatement. It also establishes the context for action - detailing where Victoria stands today and the opportunities and challenges with respect to energy efficiency - and outlines the Government's broad objectives and strategies.

The National Framework for Energy Efficiency

National Framework for Energy Efficiency LogoThe National Framework for Energy Efficiency (NFEE) aims to unlock the significant but un-tapped economic potential associated with the increased uptake of energy efficient technologies and processes across the Australian economy. It aims to achieve a major enhancement of Australia's energy efficiency performance, reducing energy demand and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

NFEE covers a range of policy measures, designed to overcome the barriers and challenges that prevent the market delivering the actual economic potential of energy efficiency.

NFEE is being developed cooperatively with the involvement of all government jurisdictions and key stakeholders.
