Interventions to address Victoria’s priority statewide litter issues

Victoria’s Litter Report Card is one of four projects falling under the Victorian Litter Plan, a $1 million package announced by the Victorian Government in October 2015. The Victorian Litter Plan aims to build the capacity and capability of state and local government, land managers and other stakeholders to address litter and illegal dumping issues.

This project will comprise a package of interventions to address Victoria’s priority statewide litter issues, as identified by Victoria’s Litter Report Card. The project has brought together key government, business and third sector stakeholders to co-design interventions that will be piloted throughout 2016-17 in partnership on a local scale. The pilot interventions will be robustly monitored to assess their effectiveness and what does work to prevent litter will be scaled for broader impact.
