Each team successful in gaining a spot in ON Prime will be provided with an operating expenditure budget that will be defined at the application stage, to support program related expenses such as traveling interstate.

The commitment to ON Prime is approximately five face-to-face sessions (six days in total) and 10 hours' commitment per team member across eight weeks.

Eligible Businesses

The first ON Prime available in Victoria will be based in Melbourne and Geelong, and we are seeking applications from researchers with big ideas for Australia's Advanced Manufacturing sector.

ON is keen to hear from teams who are working on:

  • Digitisation of manufacturing particularly in the application of big data & automation.
  • New technologies & sustainable processes in chemical, fibre & additive manufacturing.
  • Developing the future manufacturing workforce
  • New approaches to global supply chains.
  • Or perhaps you are working on something so new there isn't a category for it yet!

Scope      

ON embraces a get-out-of–the-building approach to learning, by encouraging hands-on, practical learning and business model development.

  • Each program culminates in a 'showcase' event that profiles teams and includes an assessment of the team's Investment Readiness Level (IRL) by the head coach.
  • All IP and equity remains the property of the team or their sponsoring institute.
  • After completing ON Prime, significant follow-on funding is available for the best teams, and eligible teams will be invited to apply for ON Accelerate.

ON ACCELERATE

Each team successful in gaining a spot in ON Accelerate is provided with a $15,000 OPEX budget. An additional performance bonus of up to $10,000 is available for high performing teams at the midway point of the program.

Eligible Businesses

Applications for ON Accelerate 4 will be opening in November, and the program will commence in January 2017.

Participation in the programme involves 12- week commitment to approximately 30% of the program being delivered face-to-face.

Scope      

Provides a framework and coaching to help companies:

  • develop and test the market for your ideas;
  • position your IP;
  • develop a value chain through practical engagement; and
  • design business models that lead to a long-term, sustainable impact.
