The Boosting Productivity energy assessment grants program is open to small and medium sized businesses with less than 200 full time employees, spending over $20,000 a year on energy.
An energy assessment will identify potential energy efficiency improvements for your business, review pricing tariffs, and suitable renewable energy options.
Two grants types are available to cover 50% of the cost of an energy assessment at your business site:
- Basic energy assessment grant: up to $2000 towards the cost of the assessment. This is recommended for businesses spending between $20,000 and $50,000 on energy per annum
- Detailed energy assessment grant: up to $6000 towards the cost of the assessment. This is recommended for businesses spending more than $50,000 on energy per annum.
A $3000 implementation bonus is also available for businesses that carry out one or more assessment recommendations.
As this is a non-competitive program, a Business Productivity team adviser is available to guide you through the application process. The adviser can also tell you about other support services available, such as Materials Efficiency grants and our free Sustainable Finance service.
Fill in the Registration form to begin the application process. Sustainability Victoria will use the information you provide to check if your business is eligible.
A Business Productivity advisor will contact you to discuss your eligibility, selecting an assessor and scoping your assessment.
