Household paint can be disposed of for free at any of the 30 permanent drop-off sites in Victoria. Typically located at council depots and transfer stations across the state, these sites are accessible all year round and are open to all Victorians, wherever they live.
Permanent drop-off sites are for Victorian households only. Trade painters can dispose of architectural and decorative paints at a Paintback site, an industry initiative to divert paint from landfill. Note that some permanent sites are also Paintback sites and will accept trade waste paint.
